Does insurance cover the program?

What does the onboarding process look like?
Start with a no-cost discovery call to discuss your goals and confirm the program is a strong fit. From there, you'll complete an intake and schedule your first televisit with Dr. Sorrell. Lab orders are coordinated for you, and care begins from your first visit.
Can Sorrell MD monitor and improve insulin sensitivity over time?
Yes. Insulin resistance is tracked with fasting insulin and HOMA-IR, HbA1c and triglycerides at baseline, then repeated 8 to 12 weeks after starting treatment and 8 to 12 weeks after any change in medication, nutrition or training, and every six months once stable. An oral glucose tolerance test is added when fasting values are borderline, because it catches insulin resistance years earlier. Treatment combines protein targets, resistance training, sleep, and medication where indicated, with the numbers reviewed at each monthly visit.
